1996 Award of Excellence in Landscape Architecture from "Villes, villages et campagnes fleuris" (Cities and Towns in Bloom), a provincial association which encourages citizens and companies to embellish the landscapes of their properties, for the design of the Herons' Stream, Nuns' Island, Montreal featuring streams and ponds through a residential development.

1995 Award of Excellence in Sustainable Development of the Quebec Order of Urban Planners (OPQ) for the design and Master Plan of Mount Royal Cemetery, Montreal, Canada. Sculptural elements were introduced to take the place of innumerable gravestones.

1993 Regional Merit Award of the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA) and the Quebec Society of Landscape Architects (AAPQ) for the design of the Public Garden at Place St. Roch, Quebec City, (in collaboration with Option Aménagement, Gagnon Guy Letellier Cyr Architects and the City of Quebec).

1992 National Citation and Regional Honour Awards of the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA) and the Quebec Society of Landscape Architects (AAPQ) for the overall landscape architectural coordination and design illustrating environmental and ecosystem principles for the Biodome of Montreal. 1991 Award of Environmental Excellence from Environment Canada (federal ministry of the environment) to the City of Montreal for the development of the natural water purification system for the Beach Park on Notre-Dame Island, Montreal. WAA was lead consultant for the development of the concept, research, coordination, overall and detail design, construction documents and resident supervision.
