Landscape Design

  • Inventory, planning, master plans, overall and detailed design for institutional, commercial, industrial, residential and office buildings as well as for parks, resorts and natural sites.
  • WAA projects are found in downtown, suburban, rural and regional park locations. The firm has a particular expertise in roof-terrace design.

Heritage Landscape and Design

  • Studies and inventories of sites with historical character.
  • Development of design strategies for commemoration, interpretation and integration within a particular historical context.
  • Design of exterior spaces to enhance and interpret historical buildings.

Master Planning, Urban Planning

  • Overall and detailed design of public spaces, urban plazas and streetscapes including circulation systems for vehicles and pedestrians, structures, retaining walls, fountains, urban furniture, lighting and planting.
  • Development of open spaces for specific needs and requirements both public and private, institutional and commercial.
  • Planning and design of office parks, housing development projects, resort grounds, recreational and institutional layouts. Integration of open space networks within urban and institutional environments including historic precincts.
  • Design of park systems, linear parks, theme parks and industrial parks with their required facilities and equipment. Concept development and planning for housing and resort projects.

Municipal and Regional Parks

  • Overall and detailed planning and design for large-scale sites supporting intensive use, including planting, sports and recreational equipment, children's playgrounds, amphitheatres and outdoor areas for large gatherings.
  • Design of installations for outdoor staging, lighting design, festival venues, pedestrian and vehicular circulation and parking for special events.

Interior Gardens

  • Development of concepts for interior garden displays for museums including live animal exhibits.
  • Design of exhibits to represent tropical scenes, desert and temperate-climate ecosystems, arctic and antarctic displays and marine animal life.
  • Concept development, educational functions, visual effectiveness and programming.
  • Responsible for drainage, irrigation systems, interior lighting and soil separation.

  • Studies for natural and developed sites in view of conservation, renovation, and development as well as for the restoration of historical sites. Inventory and analysis of existing vegetation.
