Project Narrative

WAA conceived a clear, comprehensive rehabilitation plan for this historic park. Serving locals and tourists, this 46 hectare park finally received the second life it deserves. The design scheme was centered on an ecological treatment system where water is purified using a reconstructed wetland. By including ornamental planting, the wetland becomes part of an attractive outdoor museum-laboratory-garden setting. People are invited to walk above the wetland on observation decks and bridges, obtaining information on the filtration system, the plants and the environmental components of the project.
