Project Narrative

The landscape concept for this supertower situated on the banks of Suzhou’s famed Jin Ji Lake builds off the “fish jumping out of water” concept presented in the architecture. Like it’s signature building, the landscape of the plaza is a graceful response to its site and its city. It draws on the historical and environmental palette of Suzhou to paint a landscape that looks towards it future.

Housed within the 480-metre tall supertower are 89 floors of office space, serviced apartments, a boutique hotel and a skybar. Dropoffs, reception areas, and the various plaza spaces that support the tower’s myriad services are all seamlessly integrated into the project’s bold yet simple landscape design. The site also features a sculpture park and riverfront promenade, both of which expand upon and enhance the public realm of this new CBD.
