Ruihong Tiandi – known commonly as “The Hall of the Moon” - has become one of Shanghai’s most unique shopping, dining and entertainment destinations. Unlike other ‘Tiandi’-branded projects, where the focus of the design is on historic rehabilitation, this project delivers a completely new experience, where contemporary architecture is fully integrated within a lush landscape. The planting character is a central feature of this project, and cohabits gracefully with the development’s many retail and dining services. Water features and planting flow from level to level, creating a multi-storey network of intimate spaces that invites the visitor to discover. This combination of water and lush vegetation has the added benefit of creating a comfortable micro-climate within the space by offering shade, mitigating localized temperatures and creating a noticeable improvement in air quality.
